The Dallas Builders Association supports all segments of the residential building industry by enhancing its members’ ability to provide quality, affordable and sustainable housing through advocacy, education and community involvement.
Established in 1944 as an affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Dallas Builders Association has a 10-county jurisdiction: Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Fannin, Grayson, Hunt, Kaufman and Rockwall. This area covers 8,318 square miles and has a population of almost 4.5 million. It is additionally affiliated with the Texas Association of Builders (TAB). Members of the Dallas BA automatically are also members of NAHB and TAB. Together, the three Associations — local, state and national — form one of the nation’s largest and strongest trade organizations, as befits an industry of such fundamental importance.
Together, the Associations comprise the only organization working around the clock exclusively in the interest of residential builders and developers.
The Dallas Builders Association is a non-profit trade organization chartered by the State of Texas, and which has been granted tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(6) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code.
Its Builder members are engaged in single- and multifamily building, land development, remodeling and rehab and general light construction. Its Associate members are companies and individuals who provide materials, products, financing and many other services, including subcontracting, to builders and developers.
The Dallas BA Bylaws are rules pertaining to the governance of our organization. They are established and modified by the Association’s Board of Directors with ratification from our builder members.
The Association’s Policies and Procedures apply to the daily operations of the Dallas Builders Association including the conduct of our members, financial transparency, editorial policies and event guidelines.
