Attention: Dallas BA Members Attending June 5 LegCon Congressional Meetings
Members interested in participating in the 2019 Legislative Conference congressional meetings on June 5 should contact the Director of Government Affairs at David.Lehde@dallasbuilders.com immediately, as meeting logistics must be arranged with congressional offices.
Association members will have the opportunity to make the industry’s voice heard in meetings with the offices of our service area’s Congressional delegation in Washington, D.C. on June 5. Dallas BA will take part in the 2019 Legislative Conference, joining other HBA’s from around the country in the day-long event at our nation’s Capitol.
The 2019 Legislative Conference occurs during this year’s NAHB Spring Leadership Meeting.
NAHB recently held a webinar to help members prepare to attend the legislative conference. NAHB provided talking points and calls to action for sex key issues affecting the home building industry, including:
- Government sponsored enterprise (GSE) reform
- National Flood Insurance Program
- Workforce and Labor
- Trade and the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement
- Low-Income Housing Tax Credit
- Building energy codes
