Chris Clay is the Dallas BA Retention Rockstar for April 2021!

Chris Clay has been in the home building industry for over 15 years. He grew up in a home building family, and his father still builds homes in the Corpus Christi area. The Dallas BA plays a vital role in the housing industry in Dallas, and Chris recognizes and understands this impact when he speaks to members. “It’s important to me to help others in our industry be aware of the value the Dallas BA offers and how big of an advocate the BA is on a local and state level. It’s a win-win,” he explains.

With regard to retention calls, Chris has done an outstanding job of communicating multiple top-of-mind issues to members. Because these items range from the residential construction industry being deemed essential in March 2020 to where we are now with lumber pricing, Chris is able to highlight multiple subjects. When he speaks to members he does a great job of making sure they know what value they gain from being part of the Association. It emphasizes why membership is important.

Chris has retained 13 members to the Association since the October 2020. What is his secret to retaining members? “The Dallas BA has given me the necessary tools to be able to have an informative conversation about the value of being a member,” he says. Those tools include letting members know about upcoming events, education classes, and the issues the Association is tackling at the governmental level.

Congratulations to Chris!
