The Dallas Builders Association's preferred charity is Operation FINALLY HOME, an organization that provides custom-built, mortgage-free homes to combat wounded veterans and the widows of the fallen who have sacrificed to defend our country and way of life.

Currently the Dallas Builders Association is searching for a lot and builder to start on our next project.

Previously, the Dallas Builders Association has been involved in providing five veterans and their families with a home to call their own – all due in part to the generosity of Dallas BA members.

Tim Jackson Custom Homes built a home in Little Elm on a lot donated by Warren Clark Development Co. Inc. for U.S. Army Sergeant Stephen Jackel and his family. SouthStar Communities, Victory Custom Homes and the Retired NFL Players Association worked with the Dallas BA to build a home in Cedar Hill for Marine Sergeant Ken Kalish. Sgt. Kalish was presented his mortgage-free home on Sept. 8, 2014. The Oak Point project for U.S. Army SSGT. James Sackett was led by Michael Turner with Classic Urban Homes in conjunction with the Dallas Division. U.S. Army Sgt. First Class Jerry Holcomb’s home is located in Rockwall and was led by Mike Mishler of Mishler Builders. Altura Homes spearheaded the project for Sgt. Rivas in Greenville, TX, with the support of Family of 3 - A Robert Griffin III Foundation. Details of these projects can be found under the Past Projects tab.

"These heroes have given so much to preserve and protect the American Dream," said Dallas BA Executive Officer Phil Crone. "Our partnership with Operation FINALLY HOME is aimed at providing these heroes and their families with the American Dream of homeownership.”
