Dallas BA Honors Its Top Spikes
The Dallas BA honored its top Spikes Jan. 19 during a special Appreciation After Hours presented by StrucSure Home Warranty, who is also the yearlong membership program partner.
Spikes are one of the most active and dedicated groups in the Association. Their efforts in membership recruitment and retention are the lifeblood of the Association and help keep the housing industry voice strong. Member-to-member recruitment is the most effective source of growth for any organization, and the Dallas BA Spikes have taken that philosophy to heart.
T.W. Bailey Sr. with Bailey Family Builders has accomplished a feat that no one else in the Association’s 78-year history has done—he has surpassed the 2,100-Spike level of new member recruitment. He was recognized for his achievement at the January After Hours and received resounding applause as Executive Officer Phil Crone presented him with his Spike pin.
T.W. is one of the highest ranked Spikes in the nation and first in Texas. He has won the Dallas BA’s Shorty Howard Trophy—given annually for the year’s most prolific membership recruiter—an incredible 11 times.
The National Association of Home Builders recognizes and rewards peer-to-peer recruiting through the Spike Club. Members of the Spike Club receive several benefits and recognition throughout the year. Qualifying members receive national recognition on the Spike Wall of Fame and Top 100 leaderboards. Additionally, the NAHB Spike Club includes unique lapel pins for each level of achievement. These Spike Club levels range from Spike Candidate (1-5 credits) to Life Spike (25 credits) to Royal Spike (150 credits) all the way up to All-Time Big Spike (1500+ credits).
