Professional Women in Building Council


The Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council’s goal is to unite and support women in the construction industry and in the communities we serve.

The Dallas BA Professional Women in Building Council is the voice of women in the building industry, dedicated to promoting industry professionalism and supporting our members by offering networking and educational opportunities, legislative awareness and outreach, and professional and personal development.

Young Professionals Council

The Young Professionals Committee consists of members age 40 and under who are committed to growing their network within the housing industry, receiving mentorship from seasoned housing professionals and giving back to our community through charitable work and the Dallas BA’s relationship with area community colleges and high school trade partners.

Multifamily Builders Council

Council members work to eliminate regulatory barriers that drive up building costs and focus on the range of choices that high-density housing offers. They provide advocacy, education, and networking for multifamily professionals.

The Multifamily Council currently meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month (February, April, September and November) at the Dallas BA offices. They also host an annual Golf Tournament and Christmas Party.

Dallas Division

Division meetings and activities provide a forum for members to meet and network with other Dallas BA members who do business in the same area. They serve as a central point of contact for all issues affecting building and development in their immediate geographic area.

The Dallas Division meets at Maggiano’s Little Italy in NorthPark Mall on the 1st Thursday of the Month (Feb, April, June, August, October & December) at 11:30 a.m. Please see the calendar for details about upcoming meetings.

Metro East Division

Division meetings and activities provide a forum for members to meet and network with other Dallas BA members who do business in the same area. They serve as a central point of contact for all issues affecting building and development in their immediate geographic area.

The Metro East Division hosts a mix of luncheons and networking happy hours (January, March, May, July, September & November).  Luncheons (May, July, and November) are held at the Springhill Suites Marriott Dallas Rockwall.  Please see the calendar for details about upcoming meetings.

Committees

Membership: Provides a great opportunity for networking and recognition by your industry peers as you help recruit and/or retain members. Members may receive additional incentives for recruiting and retaining members.

Special Events: Golf Open/Installation of Leadership/McSAM Awards/Casino Christmas: Develops and manages the special events of the Association, including sports outings, social events and industry recognition programs. A great opportunity to have some fun and meet more members.

Education: Develops ongoing classes and educational opportunities for members interested in enhancing their level of professionalism in the industry. Presents a yearlong series of classes, facilitates seminars and develops professional certifications.

Government Relations/HOMEPAC of Greater Dallas: Represents the industry in city halls, county courthouses, the state capitol and builds relationships with the area’s congressional delegation. HOMEPAC of Greater Dallas is the Dallas BA’s Political Action Committee that works to educate candidates and public officials about issues important to the home building industry. HOMEPAC of Greater Dallas contributions help the Dallas BA ensure industry-friendly candidates are elected and remain in office.

Communications: Oversees development and production of all internal and external communication as well as development and fine-tuning of various Association websites.

Volume Builders and Developers: Monthly meeting of regional representatives from area volume builders and developers featuring a presentation on pertinent local, state and national issues facing the industry as well as an executive-level update and discussion on the Association’s current advocacy efforts.
