Donnie Evans is the Dallas BA January 2021 Recruiter of the Month!
Donnie has been in the home building industry for over 50 years. He stresses that the Dallas BA has enabled him to help the home building industry in multiple ways. “There are so many issues, both ethical and governmental, that need to be addressed and kept top of mind so our industry retains the respect it deserves. I want to be involved in making this happen,” he explains. Donnie collaborates with other members of the Association to work hand-in-hand with the government affairs group to advocate for the housing industry on various levels. The efforts made by the Association to resolve these issues at the government level have made an enormous impact on keeping the housing industry working and thriving during this time.
What are his best recruiting practices? “I tell them how the Association is working on all our behalf to make this the best industry to be working in. Also, I emphasize how important each individual member is for the Association,” he says. With this approach, Donnie has received consistent recognition within the Association by winning the Shorty Howard Trophy five times. This award is given annually to the Association’s top membership recruiter for the previous 12 months.
He believes that the home building industry in Dallas is focusing on taking care of the community we live in. We serve it by having the ability to work together to provide the public with housing that they can afford and be proud of.
