Flower Mound Proposing Building and Development Fee Increases
Builders and developers should be aware of proposed fee changes related to permitting and site construction in the Town of Flower Mound. Changes to impact fees are also being proposed.
Proposals for increases to permitting fees, as well as plumbing, mechanical and electrical, are being considered based on square footage. The town is also proposing new fees related to site construction activities and other plan reviews and changes.
Flower Mound is also considering changes to the town’s impact fees. Depending on the Town Council’s final decision, the fees accessed per home could see a sizable increase, especially due to roadway impact fee calculations.

A previous hearing on the fees was tabled after more information was requested. The Town Council is expected to have a hearing on Feb. 1.
