Clyde Anderson Associate of the Year Award
Burgess Construction Consultants was named the Dallas BA’s 2024 Clyde Anderson Associate of the Year. Accepting this prestigious award were Peter Burgess, Russell Burgess and Chris Davis. Tiffany Acree of last year’s honoree, StrucSure Home Warranty, made the presentation.
The award is given annually to the associate member who has done the most to support the Association and the home building industry. The award was renamed in honor of the 2017 recipient, Clyde Anderson, an exemplary salesman who applied those skills in service to the Dallas Builders Association, serving it in just about every capacity you could imagine.
A member of the Dallas BA for 28 years, Burgess has played a significant role in the advocacy success the Association has experienced for many years, providing timely information on tax credits and keen insight on building and energy codes in the region.
Chris Clay with 2-10 Homebuyers Warranty received the Shorty Howard Award, given annually to the Association’s top membership recruiter. It is Clay’s third time to be honored with this award, which is named after one of the Dallas BA’s legendary figures, an associate member who lived for bringing in members. Being the Association’s top membership recruiter at the time of his untimely death, Shorty Howard set an example that, today, the Dallas BA embraces as the embodiment of commitment.
