John Porizek Installed as Dallas BA’s 80th President
John Porizek of M/I Homes of DFW, LLC was installed as the 80th president of the Dallas Builders Association Oct. 1 during ceremonies held at Las Colinas Country Club. The annual Installation of Leadership was presented in partnership with StrucSure Home Warranty.
Other senior officers installed were Adam Lingenfelter of Lingenfelter Custom Homes, first vice president; Kelly Hoodwin, CMP, CGA, of Altura Homes, vice president/secretary; Tiffany Acree, CGA, CGP, of StrucSure Home Warranty, associate vice president; and James Falgout, CPA, of James L. Falgout, PC, treasurer.
The Installation of Leadership included presentation of some of the Dallas BA’s most prestigious awards. The Hugh Prather Trophy was awarded to Alan Hoffmann, CGB, CGP, of Hoffmann Homes. This award is given annually to the builder, remodeler or developer member who has done the most for the betterment of the community and the industry. The Clyde J. Anderson Associate of the Year Award recognizing an associate member’s contributions to and support of the Dallas Builders Association was presented to BGE. Chris Clay of 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty was awarded The Shorty Howard Trophy as this year’s top membership recruiter.
Sworn into office were the 2022-2023 Board of Directors. These included elected directors Cole Baker, Grand Openings; Doug Bowerman, Susser Bank; Jonathan Correa, Divino Homes; Joshua Correa, Divino Homes; Mark Covington, Drees Custom Homes; Russell Daniels, Bush Rudnicki Shelton; Dave Hambley, Lee Lighting; Taylor Humphrey, Pacesetter Homes; Peter Lai, Wan Bridge Group, LLC; Tim Lansford, Luxury Homes of Texas; Richard Miller, Richard Miller Custom Homes; Jake Murillo, V Luxury Homes; Pat Nagler, PrimeLending; Jerry Parks, Traditional Classic Homes; Greg Paschall, Richardson Ready Electric; Stephen Puckett, Prosperity Bank; Brian Webster, KWA Construction; Jason Wight, Corson & Cramer; and Teresa Williams, KJ Custom Screens & Outdoor Living.
Also installed were appointed directors Zach Motley, M/I Homes of DFW, LLC; Kendall Goshorn, HomePro; Myra Baginski, Coldwell Banker Realty Southlake | DFW; and Kendra Barnes, TOTO USA. President Porizek will announce additional appointees.
Additionally, the presidents of Dallas BA divisions and chairman of its council will serve on the Board. These are Matt Walls, Winston Homes, Dallas Division; Phil Smith, FACETS Appliances, Kitchens & Baths, Metro East Division; Lucky Ivey, Advanced Concrete Surfaces, Ltd, Multifamily Builders Council; and Jeanine Jones, Professional Women in Building Council.
Chairs of certain committees will also serve on the Board. The Association’s Honored Life Directors and Past Presidents are permanent members of the Board.
