The Dallas Builders Association is governed by an elected Board of Directors that directs policies and operations of the Association according to its bylaws. Each June a canvass is sent to members, who are asked to express their interest in serving for the following 12 months. The Nominating Committee then develops an official ballot, and builder/remodeler/developer members cast their votes in the Board election that is held in August.

Each of the Association’s Divisions and Councils is governed by its own Board of Directors, made up of members who have expressed interest in serving and who are elected in July.

• Multifamily Builders Council
• Professional Women in Building Council

Committee meetings take place at the Dallas Builders Association office on a regular basis. While serving on a committee is voluntary, you will be asked to use your skills to accomplish the committee’s task and goals.

• ARC Awards – Helps plan annual awards show recognizing outstanding achievement in custom building and remodeling
• Communications – Oversees the Association’s internal and external communications efforts, including media relations, social media, publications, marketing and websites
• Education – Develops an annual education agenda consisting of certification and continuing education courses
• Golf Tournament – Plans and executes this annual event that starts with lunch and ends with dinner and awards
• Government Relations – Assists the Association on issues impacting housing affordability and the viability of your business
• Installation – Helps plan the annual Installation of Leadership gala
• Membership – Oversees the Association’s membership net growth by recommending strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones
• McSAM Awards – Plans annual awards show recognizing maximum creativity in sales and marketing
