Metro East Division Donates Over $100,000 to Lone Star CASA

The Metro East Division on June 15 presented a check for $100,938 to Lone Star CASA, a non-profit organization that provides trained volunteer advocates to children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

All proceeds from Metro East’s May 21 Cars For CASA were donated to the organization. The vintage car, truck and bike show boasted approximately 400 entries and an attendance of over 3,000. This is the largest donation in the division’s 18-year history. To date Metro East has donated almost $822,000 to the group.

“We were excited to once again bring together car enthusiasts and supporters of CASA to raise awareness and funds for this worthy cause,” said Dave Hambley of Lee Lighting, one of the show’s organizers and a former CASA board member.
